Peninsula Valdez belongs to the category of "Must See". The entire peninsula is a protected area.

The place belongs to The UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999.

A short distance from the main gate is the tourist information office.

From here one can get a free map of the area and useful information, for example - the best time to visit penguins in Caleta Valdezes is about at two o'clock, and the sea lions are less than an hour's drive northwards and the best time to go and see them is at four o'clock.
